Policy of the School of Religion
Dear Student,
To help you grow in your faith and study effectively during this school year, we ask that you follow the rules outlined below:
- Attend Class Regularly and On Time
- Classes are held every Sunday from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
- You are allowed up to 3 absences during the school year. If you cannot attend, your parents must call and inform your teacher.
- If you are absent or tardy more than 3 times, you may not advance to the next grade at the end of the year.
- Sunday Mass Attendance
- Attend and participate actively in Sunday Mass for Children and Youth at 10:00 AM.
- Retreats and Confession
- Attend the yearly Day of Retreat and all assigned Confession times for your class.
- Dress Code and Personal Safety
- No indecent clothing, body piercings, tattoos, punk hairstyles, or dangerous objects (such as knives, guns, etc.) are allowed at school.
- Respect
- Respect your teacher and follow classroom rules.
- Respect parish property. Parents will be responsible for any damage caused by the student.
- School Supplies
- Bring all necessary books and school supplies to class.
- Study and Homework
- Study your lessons, participate actively in class, complete all homework, and turn it in on time.
- Read your Bible assignments weekly and learn your prayers.
- All assignments and participation will be graded.
- Safety Rules
- Students may not leave the school building unaccompanied by a parent or teacher during class.
- Advancement Policy
- To advance to the next grade, students must achieve at least a Grade C (70%).
- Grading System
- The grading system of our Giao Ly program is as follows:
Điểm Trung Bình – Grade Key
- A (90–100): Giỏi – Excellent
- B (80–89): Khá – Good
- C (70–79): Trung Bình – Satisfactory
- D (Dưới 70): Cần Cố Gắng – Needs Improvement
